Description: Point Pleasant Beach Board of Adjustment/Planning Board Accepting RFP for Board of Adjustment and Planning Board Attorney/Engineer for 2026 Procedure for Soliciting Professional Services for 2026 • This proposal is being solicited through a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 et seq. • A legal advertisement will be placed in the Ocean Star and the Asbury Park Press newspapers. • The submission deadline for proposals shall be 3:00 PM on November 21, 2025. • Requirements can be found on the website at Pointpleasantbeach.org • Applicant is  to submit any professional licenses held by them in the State of New Jersey, or any other State, including a “Certificate of Good Standing,” or other documents evidencing that the license is not presently suspended or revoked. • The decision of the Board as to all qualifications and appointments shall be final. • 1 paper original, 1 paper copy, plus 1 copy on CDs in “.PDF” format, of all proposals shall be sent to: Karen Mills, Clerk Point Pleasant Beach Board of Adjustment/Planning Board Borough of Point Pleasant Beach 416 New Jersey Avenue Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742 Publication Date/Time: 11/12/2024 12:00 AM Publication Information: OceanStar/Asbury Park Press Closing Date/Time: 11/21/2025 3:00 PM Contact Person: Karen Mills 732-892-3757 Special Requirements: Point Pleasant Beach Board of Adjustment Attorney and Conflict Attorney Request for Professional Services Requirements The attorney/law firm must have the following: • At least 10 years’ experience as a land use board attorney • Litigation and appeal experience • Satisfy all other requirements as set forth by New Jersey state law and Point Pleasant Beach Municipal Ordinance Package to include: • Resume of attorney and staff attorneys that would be providing legal services. • Brief narrative of abilities • 3 references • Cost per hour for attorney, paralegals and support staff • Cost per meeting attendance. • Itemized list of all other fees and charges • Applicant to submit any professional licenses held by them in the State of New Jersey, or any other State, including a “Certificate of Good Standing,” or other documents evidencing that the license is no presently suspended or revoked. • Statement as to whether any of the principals of the firm or the firm itself has been convicted of a crime within the last 5 years • Statement as to whether any of the principals of the firm of the firm itself has received a target letter from a grand jury • Certification as to the truth of the above two statements ________________________________________ Point Pleasant Beach Board of Adjustment Engineer and Conflict Engineer Request for Professional Services Requirements The engineer/engineering firm must meet the following requirements: • At least ten (10) years’ experience in municipal engineering. • Licensed as a Professional Engineer and Professional Planner. • Certified Municipal Engineer. • Experience in Land Use Planning. • Knowledge of local, county, state and federal regulations and land use laws. • Experience with Ocean County, NJDOT and NJDEP • Satisfy all other requirements as set forth by New Jersey state law and Point Pleasant Beach Municipal Ordinance Proposal package to include: • Previous experience as a land use Engineer. • Location of office serving municipality. • Resume of Engineers providing services. • Brief narrative of abilities • 3 references • Cost per hour for Engineer and staff • Cost per meeting attendance. • Itemized list of all other fees and charges • Applicant to submit any professional licenses held by them in the State of New Jersey, or any other State, including a “Certificate of Good Standing,” or other documents evidencing that the license is no presently suspended or revoked. • Statement as to whether any of the principals of the firm or the firm itself has been convicted of a crime within the last 5 years • Statement as to whether any of the principals of the firm of the firm itself has received a target letter from a grand jury • Certification as to the truth of the above two statements
