Specifications:

Vendor to provide the disposal of approximately 6,000 cubic yards of woody tree debris for the City of Cleveland. This material will be

delivered to the disposal facility(s) via direct haul by authorized vehicles.

The City is seeking bids for disposal facilities in or near the East, and West sides of the City of Cleveland.

Bidder must be an authorized and permitted landfill, transfer station or recycle/reclaim facility sites for the disposal of waste generated by

various locations managed by the Department of Parks and Recreation.

a. For the purposes of this bid, woody tree debris shall mean tree-derived organic material generated from urban forestry operations,

including but not limited to tree removals, pruning, storm response, right-of-way clearing, and related maintenance activities.

Woody debris may include logs, stems, limbs, branches, and brush of varying sizes and diameters from 1 inch to 60 inches in diameter.

Material may be whole, cut, chipped, partially processed, or irregularly shaped.

Woody debris may include incidental leaves, twigs, bark, sawdust, soil, or other naturally occurring material attached to or mixed with the

tree material. Woody debris shall not include tree stumps, excessive soil, construction and demolition debris, treated or painted wood, pallets,

lumber, plastics, metal, hazardous waste, or other non-tree-derived material,

b. The debris shall be hauled to the authorized landfill, transfer station or recycle/reclaim facility site(s) by City vehicles. Site should be

open and accessible during the City's hours of operation, normally 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday and Saturday 7:00am to 12:00

noon.

c. Debris shall be measured and priced per cubic yard.

d. The contractor shall supply adequate and non-hazardous roadway access to the area in which dumping is permitted.

e. The roadway shall be free of hazards to trucks and personnel. If the dumping area does not have proper access; the contractor shall supply

an alternate location on the site, at no additional cost to the CITY.

f. If the contractor fails to provide a non-hazardous, an alternate dump location on the site, then contractor shall be liable to the City for any

additional expenses incurred by the City as a result of having to return to the landfill, transfer station or other facilities at another time.

g. The City shall notify the contractor of any additional expenses incurred due to the contractor's failure to provide a non-hazardous ,

alternate , locations, and the City shall deduct the costs on the next invoice.

PERMITS:

1. Contractor shall provide proof that the landfill, transfer station has all permits, licenses, and contracts required by Federal, State, and Local

government authorities to operate a landfill, transfer station or recycle/reclaim facility site.

2. Contractor must meet all DOT, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.

Copy of all applicable permits and licenses must be included in sealed bid submission at the time of bid opening.

TERMS OF DELIVERY

Price quoted shall be F.O.B. delivered to the place designated on purchase order. No other terms will be acceptable.

Delivery quoted must be stated in terms of work days after receipt of the order.

All charges for shipping must be included within the Unit Price for each item quote unless otherwise designated by a separate line with a

specified dollar amount inclusive of all shipping charges.

No freight charges will be considered nor processed for payment unless apart of the original quote submitted prior to bid award.

Missing information

It is each bidder's individual responsibility to determine for themselves, in advance of bid submission, the accuracy and

in advance of the bid opening date of any possible discrepancy then any such discrepancy or erratum cannot be the basis for a
