1 Scope of Work

The City of Lake Forest is soliciting proposals from qualified providers of Verkada card readers and door

controller hardware, whose product offerings meets or exceeds current City needs as identified in ‘Desired

Functionality’. The City is in the first phase of implementing a new access control system that will be rolled out

in phases throughout the City in the upcoming years. The City reserves the right to award future phases at a

later date, based on project funding and schedule. The City reserves the right to initiate a separate future

phase RFP subject to project funding and schedule.

1.1 Desired Functionality

The Desired Functionality section is intended to identify functionality that the City would require for

replacement and additions to our Municipal Service’s access control system. The City currently has a large

Verkada footprint that allows for better integration and analytics for security purposes. The City’s IT

Department feels it is in the City’s best interest to move forward with the Verkada platform with access control

as well. The hardware listed out is explicitly Verkada access control hardware, unless specified otherwise.

Please include labor cost for the installation of the following hardware.
