Description: The Nantucket Islands Land Bank (“Land Bank”), the awarding authority, through its Commission, invites qualified bidders to submit bids to provide labor, equipment, and necessary supervision required to safely and efficiently masticate roughly 23 acres of understory located on a portion of 171R Hummock Pond Road in Gardner Farm to a fine mulch to reduce the fuel load and ladder fuels, and to set the stage for future thinning of the pitch pine overstory. The understory consists mainly of dog hair pitch pine and other shrubby species.
