The program helps states and communities work withlocal military installations to address civilian encroachment or threats to installation readiness that could impactthe military's operations and mission. Since the completion of the Joint Land Use Study in 2009, rapid population growth, increased use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and fixed-wing aircraft, and incompatible developmentpressure near the installation have exceeded the projected scope of the Study. A planned runway extension atSabre Army Airfield was the impetus which led the Fort Campbell Army Garrison Commander to seek Office ofLocal Defense Community Cooperation assistance, culminating in the collaboration with the GNRC to serve asthe lead agency for this study.GREATER NASHVILLE REGIONAL COUNCIL | SOLICITATION NO.
