City of Big Rapids Wastewater System Improvements

The City of Big Rapids is requesting Bids for the construction of Wastewater System Improvements, CWSRF 5937-01. Bids for the construction of the project will be received at the City of Big Rapids City Hall located at 226 N. Michigan Avenue, Big Rapids, MI, 49307, until 2:00 p.m. local time, June 24, 2025, at that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The project includes improvements at the wastewater treatment plant consisting of the replacement of the vortex grit system, influent screw pump, aeration blowers and diffuser membranes, upgrades to the aerobic digestion system, UV equipment replacement, sludge thickening equipment replacement, and WWTP SCADA improvements. Also included in the project is the replacement of the Novak Lane lift station and upgrades to the Tioga Park lift station.

Prospective Bidders may request the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. Bidding Documents will be emailed in portable document format (PDF) at no charge; hard copy documents are not available. Non-biddable documents may be viewed in the on-line Bid Room at www.fveng.com.

Bidding Documents will be made available on or before May 30 and are available to be emailed in portable document format (PDF) free of charge. Printed Bidding Documents are not available.

The date the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.

A pre-bid conference for the project will be held on June 10, 2025 at 11:00 am at The City of Big Rapids Wastewater Treatment Plant, 531 River St., Big Rapids MI, 49307. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.
