I. ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROPOSAL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Education of Pleasantdale School District No.

107, 7450 S. Wolf Road, Burr Ridge, Cook County, Illinois, 60527 will receive sealed, lump

sum proposals for EVENING CUSTODIAL/CLEANING SERVICES at Pleasantdale School

District 107.

Proposals must be received on or before Monday, June 8, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the

Pleasantdale School District No. 107 Administrative Offices, 7450 S. Wolf Road, Burr Ridge, IL

60527. At that time, the Proposals will be considered received and will be reviewed. All

submitters will receive communication regarding their proposal within 1 week of the proposal

deadline. A Proposal Security of ten percent (10%) of the total proposal is required with the

proposal. Proposal specifications are available by contacting Griffin Sonntag at

gsonntag@d107.org or on the District’s website at https://d107.org/34833_3.

A mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting and walk-thru will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026,

at 4:00 PM at Pleasantdale School District Administrative Offices, 7450 S. Wolf Road, Burr

Ridge, IL 60527. All interested submitters must attend this meeting to be considered for the

work.

The Board of Education of Pleasantdale School District No. 107 reserves the right to reject any

or all Proposals, to accept Proposals in whole or in part, and to waive any irregularities or

defects in any Proposal. The contract will be awarded, if at all, to the proposal that best meets

the needs of the district, considering conformity with the Proposal Specification, terms of

delivery, quality, and serviceability, and such other factors as determined by the Board of

Education. All decisions of the Board of Education shall be considered final. The Board of

Education reserves the right to reject a Proposal from a bidder who, in the Board of Education's

opinion, does not exhibit past experience equal to the size and scope of this project or who does

not submit a Proposal per the Proposal Specifications.

(720 ILCS 5/33E-3, 33E-4) or any other law or regulation. The undersigned acknowledges

that the Board of Education may declare the Contract void if the foregoing certification is

pertaining to equal opportunity and fair employment practices, including, but not limited to,

the Illinois Human Rights Act (775 ILCS 5/1-101 et seq.), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of

III. PROPOSAL CONDITIONS

PLEASANTDALE SCHOOL DISTRICT 107

EVENING CUSTODIAL/CLEANING SERVICES

1. DEFINITIONS

1.1 "Board" or "School District": The Board of Education of Pleasantdale School District

No. 107, Cook County, Illinois.

1.2 "Proposal Documents" include:

VIII. Any Addenda Issued

1.3 "Contractor": The successful proposal submitter.

1.4 "Proposal": The Proposal Form submitted by a bidder, as well as all other

documents required by the Proposal Conditions.

2. FORM OF PROPOSAL

2.1 Proposal Form: The submitter shall submit a fully completed and executed

Proposal Form.

2.2 Qualification: The submitter shall submit with the Proposal a fully completed and

executed Qualification Statement on the form contained in the Proposal Documents with the

required attachments itemized on the Qualification Statement.

2.3 Contract: The submitter shall submit a fully executed Contract with the Proposal on the

form contract contained in the Proposal Documents.

2.4 Proposal Security: The submitter shall submit with its Proposal a Proposal Security Deposit

in the amount of 10% of its total Proposal. The Proposal Security shall be either: (a) cash, a

bank draft or cashier's check payable to the order of "Board of Education of Pleasantdale

School District No. 107" issued by or drawn on a bank having its principal offices in the State of

Illinois; or (b) by a bid bond payable to the "Board of Education, Pleasantdale School District No.

107", duly executed by the bidder as principal, and a corporate surety authorized to do business

in the State of Illinois and having a minimum equivalent of at least a Best Company A- Rating.

Bid bonds shall be prepared in a form acceptable to the School District.

If the Contractor fails to sign the agreement in a timely fashion, the Proposal Security submitted

with the Proposal shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. The Proposal Security shall be

returned to bidders thirty (30) days after the date of bid opening, with the exception of the

Contractor and the next lowest bidder, whose Proposal Security shall be returned sixty (60)

days after bid opening, unless they are forfeited under the terms of the Proposal Documents.

2.5 Insurance: The Contractor shall at all times during the term of the Contract or any

extension thereof maintain, on an occurrence basis, the following insurance: (1) commercial

general liability insurance with limits of no less than $1,000,000 each occurrence and

$2,000,000 in the aggregate; (2) business auto coverage insurance (all autos) with limits of

no less than $2,000,000 each accident limit; (3) workers' compensation insurance in at least

the legally required minimums and employer's liability coverage of at least $1,000,000 each

accident for bodily injury by accident and each employee for bodily injury by disease, and (4)

excess or umbrella liability insurance, which shall follow the form of the commercial general

liability insurance in all respects, with limits of no less than $10,000,000. The required

insurance minimums may be accomplished through a combination of primary and

excess/umbrella liability policies. With the exception of workers' compensation insurance,

the Contractor shall name the Board of Education, its individual board members, employees,

and agents as additional insureds on the above-required insurance policies. To the fullest

extent without voiding any insurance policy, the Contractor waives any right of subrogation

that it or any of its insurers may have. Certificates of insurance must be provided to the

School District before work can begin. A new certificate of insurance also must be

submitted at the beginning of any year for which the Contract is extended. Contractor shall

also make prompt restitution by cash, replacement, or repair for damage for which the

Contractor is liable. The Contractor shall provide the School District with 30 days' written notice

prior to the cancellation of any above-required insurance policy.

3. SUBMITTAL, CHANGE, OR WITHDRAWAL OF PROPOSAL

3.1 Sealed, lump sum proposals are due on Monday, June 8, 2026, and will be accepted until

10:00 a.m. at the following location:

Proposals will be opened and read aloud at that time. The Contract is anticipated to be

awarded by the Board of Education of Pleasantdale School District No. 107 at the June 17,

2026, School Board Meeting, unless the Board determines to postpone such award or to

reject all proposals.
