Overview

Summary

The City of Tucson is seeking Professional Design Services through Construction Administration for Pygmy Hippo Habitat with Meerkat Habitat alternative (Stage 1) and Savannas including multispecies habitats including giraffe, rhino, other antelope and bird species (Stage 2) as indicated in the RPZMP.

Background

In June of 2025, the refinement of Phase 2 of Reid Park Zoo’s 2018 Master Plan was completed. The footprint, conceptual designs, and species suggested for exhibition are somewhat malleable and may be modified after consensus with the City and Zoo staff. The plan takes place only within the existing perimeter of Reid Park Zoo.
