The project includes the removal and replacement of electrical, controls and HVAC equipment for the Condit and Grand stormwater pump station. The Condit station will reuse the existing electrical service, and Grand station will replace the electrical service. The contractor shall keep the stations in service while the work is completed.

All proposals must be accompanied by a BANK DRAFT, CASHIER’S CHECK, ORCERTIFIED CHECK made payable to Treasurer, Decatur, Illinois, in the amount of tenpercent (10%) of the bid or BID BOND in the same amount.7. The contractor shall at all times during the term of this Contract pay the applicable prevailingwage for Macon County for the month during which the work is performed, as determinedby the Illinois Department of Labor.8. Before the Contractor and any Subcontractor commences work, the Contractor and anySubcontractor shall have in place a written Substance Abuse Prevention Program for theprevention of substance abuse among its employees which meets or exceeds therequirements in P. A. 95-0635 or shall have a collective bargaining agreement in effectdealing with the subject matter of P. A. 95-0635.9. The following Minority Participation Goals for Public Works Contracts are in effect forthis contract:(1) Ten (10) Percent (%) of the total dollar amount of the contract should be performedby minority business enterprises if subcontracting opportunities are available and/or Ten(10) Percent (%) of the total dollar amount of the contract should be for the purchase ofgoods, material and equipment to Minority Business Enterprises.(2) Eighteen (18) Percent (%) of the total hours worked should be performed by minorityworkers.All Contractors shall provide evidence of meeting the City’s minority participation goalsprior to the award of this project and prior to all payments made for work completed orprovide the City of Decatur documentation on their good faith efforts to comply with theparticipation goals. Required information and documentation is included in the ProjectManual and is to be submitted with the bid proposal.REJECTION OF BIDS:The Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois, reserves the right to accept, renegotiate or reject anyor all proposals and to waive any variance from the requirements of the instructions for bidders.
