Overview

Summary

The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the Project, as more specifically described in specifications. This Work will be performed in strict conformance with the specifications, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of Work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of Bids. Actual quantities of Work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the County.

This Project is to replace the kitchen flooring at Aviators restaurant, located inside the terminal at Sacramento Executive Airport. The tenant will be vacating the space from, 1/2/2026 – 1/23/26. Before the vendor vacates, they will remove all kitchen appliances, racks, goods, etc., allowing access to the floors. During that time, the contractor will demo and haul away the old tile, diamond grind the floors, saw cut the concrete and remove the old floor sinks and drains, install new floor sinks and drains, install rebar dowels and pour new concrete around floor sinks, install new P-traps, reattach plumbing, install slip resistant vinyl flooring with water tight heat welded seams, install LVP flooring, install cove base. This project will need to be completed by 1/23/26.

Background

The Project is needed not only to improve the aesthetics of the floor, but also to repair areas where water is leaking down to the basement. Due to the current floor sinks being set above the finished floor, the concrete around the sinks has deteriorated and allows water to leak into the basement when the floors are cleaned. The current tenant would like the ability to wash the kitchen floors and be able to squeegee the water into the floor sinks without the water pooling around the sinks. To make this job a success, the new floor sinks will need to be set slightly below grade, and the vinyl flooring heat welded at the seams to allow the floors to be washed without the water getting to the concrete slab.
