Description: North Carolina General Statute (N.C.G.S.) 143-132(a) requires a minimum of three competitive bids be received for formal construction and repair contracts. Three bids were not received on February 25, 2026. Should fewer than the required three bids be offered for formal projects advertised as N.C.G.S. 143-129 requires, the project may be re-advertised. Therefore, pursuant to N.C.G.S. formal bidding laws, sealed bid proposals endorsed “Bid 13-022526 City of High Point Streets Resurfacing Project will be received by the Purchasing Division of the City of High Point, North Carolina, located in the Municipal Operations Center, Warehouse Building at 816 East Green Drive, High Point, NC, until 3:00 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at which date and time they will be opened and publicly read aloud. Three bids are not required at this second offering; as few as one valid bid may be opened and considered for award per NCGS 143-132.
