Polk County Landscaping BidPOLK COUNTY GOVERNMENT IS ACCEPTING SEALED BIDS FROM EXPERIENCED & QUALIFIEDCONTRACTORS FOR PROVIDING LANDSCAPING SERVICES FOR VARIOUS COUNTY GOVERNMENTPROPERTIES. A CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED TO THE CONTRACTOR WHOSE BID BEST SATISFIESTHE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS REQUEST & BEST SERVES THE INTEREST OF POLK COUNTY. SEALEDBIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL 11:00AM EST ON THURSDAY, MARCH 12, 2026, IN THECOMMISSIONERS OFFICE LOCATED AT 216 MAIN ST IN CEDARTOWN, GA 30125. BIDS WILL BEOPENED SHORTLY THEREAFTER IN A PUBLIC SETTING.Scope of WorkThis bid shall include pricing for the landscaping of four (4) County buildings. See below underLocations & Responsibilities for Landscaping for specific information regarding required work.Specifications & RequirementsThe bid provided by contractor shall provide a total cost for one (1) year and shall be automaticallyrenewed each year unless terminated by either party. A sixty (60) day notice must be given prior totermination. Pricing cannot be amended without prior approval from Polk County.Locations & Responsibilities for Landscaping1) Polk County Annex Building, 144 West Avenue, Cedartown, GA 30125• Mow, weed-eat, edge, maintain shrubs to stay weed free, and blow-offparking lot and sidewalk.• March= 2 visitsApril – October= Every 10 daysNovember – February= 1 visit per month• Shrubs shall be trimmed at a minimum of four (4) times per year and kept in aclean appearance year-round.• On initial site visit, shrub beds must be cleaned out and #57 river gravel shallbe placed in all shrub beds.• Can be mowed any time throughout the week or anytime on Saturday2) Georgia DDS Building, 1626 Rockmart Highway, Cedartown, GA 30125• Mow, weed-eat, edge, clear unwanted weeds in asphalt to maintain a cleanproperty appearance, and blow-off parking lot and sidewalk.• March= 1 visitApril – October= 2 visitsNovember – February= As needed• Can be mowed any time on Monday or Saturday3) Polk County Animal Control, 1215 Veal Street, Cedartown, GA 30125• Mow, weed-eat, edge, clear unwanted weeds in asphalt to maintain a cleanproperty appearance, and blow-off parking lot and sidewalk.• March= 1 visitApril – October= 2 visitsNovember – February= As needed• Can be mowed any time Monday - Saturday4) Polk County Courthouse #1, 100 Prior Street, Cedartown, GA 30125• Mow, weed-eat, edge around all concrete, maintain shrubs to stay weed-free,and blow-off sidewalks.• March= 2 visitsApril – October= Every 10 daysNovember – February= As needed (Minimum 1 visit per month)• Trim shrubs as needed (Minimum 4 times per year)• Apply a pre-emergent on the courthouse lawn twice a year (March & October)• By April 15, 2026, shrub beds must be created around shrubs and pine strawmust be placed in the shrub beds to create a clean appearance. Pine strawreplacement must take place again in October 2026. In following years, pinestraw replacement must take place in April and October each year.• Can be mowed any time before 9AM or after 5PM throughout the week oranytime on SaturdayThe successful Contractor shall purchase from and maintain in a company or companiesauthorized to do business in the state of Georgia the following types of insurance.Statutorily required workers’ compensation insurance.Liability insurance, with an endorsement naming the County as an additionalinsured, and with limits of not less than $1,000,000.00 per occurrence and$2,000,000.00 aggregate.The Contractor shall provide the County with certificates of insurance prior to thestart of the contracted services and thirty (30) days’ written notice prior tocancellation.Minimum Qualifications Must have an active business license in the County or City that the Company’s address islocated in.
