Overview

Summary

The City of Hayward is seeking a contractor to provide roadway striping per this Request for Quote (RFQ) specifications . Estimated quantities of striping materials are provided in Attachment A. Any materials needed beyond initial estimates will be purchased at the unit prices provided in the initial bid.

Background

As part of a pilot project to calm traffic and increase the vitality of Downtown Hayward, the City of Hayward is replacing one travel lane on Mission Boulevard between A Street and D Street with a lane devoted to parking and painted bulb-outs. The project is expected to result in an enhanced walking environment, lower traffic speeds on Mission Boulevard, and convenient parking for customers and employees of downtown businesses. The project consists of the installation of colored paint, striping, and flexible delineators.
