Mohawk River Road Overhead to Underground Conversion
Are you sure you wish to continue?
This project consists of the overhead to underground conversion of EPUD’s existing off-road, overhead lines
on the west portion of Mohawk River Road north of Marcola, Oregon. EPUD will construct a new underground
single phase primary mainline following Mohawk River road starting just east of Marcola Road (MP 0.08) to
just west of Thetford Lane (MP 0.64), approximately 0.56 miles, plus various primary and secondary
taps/services.The Contractor Work on this project will consist of the installation of all underground facilities (conduit, cabinet
and transformer sleeves with grounding, secondary pedestals/junction boxes, and pole sleeves) prior to
EPUD crew work. EPUD is requesting Lump Sum bids from interested and qualified contractors. See Project
Requirements for rock adders. The Contractor Work is to be performed and paid for on a Lump Sum bid basis. The selected contractor may
return to work with EPUD crews on various underground intercepts or to perform additional work on a time
and material basis, or EPUD may self-perform this work. No time and material work is currently planned and
this work should not be relied upon or included in the Lump Sum bids. This project is partially funded by FEMA based on early EPUD designs which did not include any customer
service conversions. EPUD or our customers have elected to convert numerous services from overhead to
underground and such service conversion work is incorporated into this project. EPUD is requesting a
separate “break-out” price from bidders for the project without the service work, and for the service work alone
work, see the Project Requirements. The separate pricing is for job management and accounting only; all
Work shall be installed by the selected Contractor as a single project. This project includes an Additive Alternate to install a 2” conduit for Douglas Fast Net (DFN) along Mohawk
River Road (main line); bidding Contractors are to submit a separate Lump Sum price for this work. Please find all ITB documents on our website: https://www.epud.org/about-us/bids-contracts-proposals/ .
