Overview

Summary

The work under this project involves improvements at the Tidewater Drive and Easy Street intersection and will consist of updating the existing non-compliant curb ramps to meet current ADA standards, installing pedestrian signal heads and pushbuttons for proposed crossings at the intersection and updating the existing pavement markings primarily focusing on crosswalk updates. This project is a federally funded project through HSIP funding. In order to be considered for award, all prospective bidders shall be first tier pre-qualified with the Virginia Department of Transportation in accordance with Section 102.01 of VDOT’s 2020 Road and Bridge Specifications. Information regarding VDOT prequalification can be found at http://www.virginiadot.org/business/const/prequal.asp . A DBE Goal of 0% has been assigned to this project.

Background

All Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted no later than Wednesday, December 3, 2025 4:00 pm through the Questions portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/norfolk/projects/215986 . Any RFI submitted after this date cannot be guaranteed a response by the City.
