REQUEST FOR FORMAL WRITTEN PROPOSALS FOR POWER WASHING AND MILDEW REMOVAL OF GREENHILL RESERVOIR

The City of Saint Peter, Department of Public Works, Water Utility is requesting formal written proposals for power washing and mildew removal of the Greenhill Reservoir. The ground storage tank is 88 feet tall and has a diameter of 132 feet. The ground storage tank has a storage capacity of 2 million gallons. The City is looking for the following services to be provided:

• Wash pressure shall be less than 3000 psi.
• Temperature of pressure wash solution(s) shall be a minimum of 140°F.
• Pre-rinse the surfaces with a biodegradable environmentally friendly detergent that will eliminate and kill the growth and mildew on the surfaces. Solution should have a dwell time as necessary to kill the mildew.
• Pressure wash clean all of the surfaces to remove all contaminants inclusive of dirt, mildew, mold, etc.
• If any contaminants remain on the surfaces, the procedure shall be repeated until the surface is completely clean and free of contaminants.
• Rinse and clean all surfaces with water.
• Care should be taken to avoid any removal of existing coatings.
• Contractor shall be responsible for the removal of any existing coatings.
• The site restoration shall be the responsibility of the contractor. The contractor shall restore the turf and site to similar or better than original condition.
• Contractor shall follow all local/state/ federal and OSHA safety regulations.
• The City will provide the water.
• Work shall be completed by October 31, 2025.
