Bid Title: Oakwood Sidewalk Improvements Project
Category: Public Works Status: Open Description: The Village of Westmont is accepting bids from authorized vendors to remove and replace existing sidewalk and curb at various locations throughout the Village that have been identified as in need of repair. The proposed construction consists of approximately 14,950 square feet of sidewalk removal and replacement, 715 feet of curb, 600 sf of ADA detectable warnings and other miscellaneous items of work.

The procurement will be subject to the Illinois Works Jobs Program Act (30 ILCS 559/), including the Illinois Works Apprenticeship Initiative, the Business Enterprise for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities Act (30 ILCS 575/), Section 3 under the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, the Equal Opportunity and Fair Housing Accessibility Laws. And the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) of the U.S. Clean Air Act, if applicable. This procurement is also subject to grants recipient's policy regarding the increased use of disadvantaged business enterprises. The grants recipient's policy requires all bidders to undertake specified affirmative efforts at least sixteen (16) days prior to bid opening. The policy is contained in the specifications. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract.
