This bid includes the following Work:

Remove, dispose, and replace asphalt and concrete pavement at the Johnson County Adult Residential Center Access Road and Building #4, including all materials, labor, equipment, supervision, and any and all other items necessary to complete the Work.

A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00AM CT on June 4, 2026, at the Adult Residential Center Building #3 Parking Lot located at 105 Roeland Park Drive, New Century, Kansas 66031. Representation is required by General/Prime Contractors to be eligible to submit a bid. Come prepared to walk the campus.

Technical questions and requests for clarification shall be submitted electronically via IonWave no later than 5:00PM CT on June 11, 2026, to allow adequate time to issue an addendum, if needed.

BID BOND: Bidders shall submit with their bid a bid bond issued by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Kansas in the amount of five percent (5.0%) of the total amount of their bid. Said guarantee shall be made payable to the Board of County Commissioners of Johnson County, Kansas.

No bid may be withdrawn within a period of sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening.

The County reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder for the Work covered by the Base Bid(s) and any approved alternate(s) and to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities in any bid submitted.

No bidder shall in any way, directly or indirectly, discriminate against any employee or applicant

for employment or any other person because of age, race, color, disability, sex, national origin or religious creed, or other circumstance prohibited by federal state or local law, rule or regulation.
