The City enlists and prepares 21st Century staff with the skill sets to carryout the duties of the City through transparent civic engagement and by providing the verybest customer service to our citizens.The City is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide temporary RiskManager services on an interim basis. The selected contractor will support the City’s riskmanagement program and assist in identifying, evaluating, and minimizing operational,financial, and safety risks.2Services may include, but are not limited to:• Administering and monitoring the City’s risk management and insurance programs• Reviewing claims, incidents, and liability exposures• Coordinating with insurance carriers, attorneys, and third-party administrators• Recommending risk mitigation strategies and procedures• Supporting compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations• Preparing reports, analyses, and recommendations for City management• Providing guidance and support to departments on risk-related issuesThe contractor shall provide qualified personnel with experience in municipal or localgovernment risk management. Services will be performed on an as-needed basis for atemporary period as determined by the City.1.3 Request for Proposal (RFP) TimelineProvided below is a list of the anticipated schedule of events related to this solicitation.The City of Raleigh reserves the right to modify and/or adjust the following schedule tomeet the needs of the service. ProspectiveProposers are encouraged to submit written questions in advance. Date, time, andlocation of pre-proposal conference is shown above in the RFP Timeline (Section 1.3).31.5 Proposal QuestionsRequests for clarification and questions to this RFP must be received by the City not laterthan the date shown above in the RFP Timeline (Section 1.3) for the submittal of writteninquires. The firm’s failure to request clarification and submit questions by the date in theRFP Timeline above shall be considered to constitute the firm’s acceptance of all City’sterms and conditions and requirements.The City shall issue addenda reflecting questions and answers to this RFP, if any, andshall be posted to North Carolina electronic Vendor Portal (eVP). No information,instruction or advice provided orally or informally by any City personnel, whether made inresponse to a question or otherwise in connection with this RFP, shall be consideredauthoritative or binding. Proposers can only rely on written material contained in anAddendum to this RFP.It is important that all Proposers submitting to this RFP periodically check eVP forany Addenda.
