The Town of Plainville acting through its Town Council, hereinafter called the Owner, will receive sealed Bids for Contract 2027 – 3E, Sidewalk Reconstruction on Fleetwood Drive and Hilltop Road at the Office of the Town Manager, Municipal Center, One Central Square, Plainville, Connecticut until 2:00 PM local time on June 30, 2026, then at said place publicly opened and read aloud. No bid will be accepted after 2:00 PM local time on June 30, 2026. The work under this Contract shall consist of the removing the existing concrete sidewalk on Fleetwood Drive and Hilltop Road and replace it with a five-foot concrete sidewalk.

Contract Documents, which include Advertisement for Bids, Information for Bidders, Bid, Agreement, General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions, Special Conditions, Technical Specifications, Supplemental Technical Specification, Attachments, Contract Drawings and Addenda may be examined by going to the Advanced Reprographics’ website WWW.ADVANCEDREPRO.NET . Prospective bidders should access the “PLANROOM” on the website and search Town of Plainville. Bidders are responsible for printing and shipping costs or pick up at the Advanced Reprographics office, (50 Corporate Avenue, Plainville, CT). Bid Documents may also be ordered by calling (860) 410-1020. Bidders are responsible for obtaining all addendums posted on the Advanced Reprographics website.

Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of a certified check or Bid Bond
in the amount of 5% of the total amount of Bid. A performance Bond and a Labor and Materials
Payment Bond will be required equal to the value of the contract. All sureties must be listed on
the most recent IRS Circular 570.
All bidders are required to inform themselves fully of the conditions relating to the construction
and labor under which the work will be or is now being performed, and the contractor shall
employ as possible, such methods and means to carry out this work that does not cause
interruption or interfere with any other contractor.
All bids shall be accompanied by the Drug and Alcohol Testing Program Compliance
Certification which is enclosed in the Bid Documents. No bids submitted without a completed
Drug and Alcohol Compliance Certification will be considered for award.
No Bid may be withdrawn until one hundred and twenty, (120), calendar days after the date of
the opening of the Bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in the Bids: to
reject any and all Bids; or to accept the Bid that in his judgement will be in the best interest of
the Town of Plainville.
The owner will conduct a pre-bid conference on June 23, 2026, at Plainville Municipal Center in
the office of the Engineer at 10:00 AM. (non-Mandatory)
This contract is subject to state contract compliance requirements, including spending allocation
goals, (25% SBE and 6.25 M/W/DisBE), and non-discrimination requirements enforced by the
CHRO. An Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Employer MBE’s, WBE’s and SMEs are
