Bid TypeSealed BidDescriptionThe Contract work scope is being performed on Sheldon Station’s Unit 2 Boiler; a Babcock & Wilcox (B&W), positive pressure, naturally circulating radiant boiler; (RB-338) (Form P-3 Data Report ID 334-0338 with an in services year 1961). The unit is designed to supply a main steam flow of 830,000 lbs/hr at 1,005℉ with a drum operating pressure of 2,025 psig, and a reheat steam flow of 600,000 lbs/hr at 1,005℉. The boiler is currently firing with natural gas for start-up with normal operation firing using Power River Basin coal. The pressurized boiler (booster fan added with baghouse) has a balance point after the boiler and configured with tangent (no membrane) wall tubes with 100% exterior casing for gas seal.

Pre-Bid Meeting Details
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit for prospective Bidders will be held at Sheldon Station, located at 4500 Pella Road, Hallam, Nebraska, at 10:00 a.m., CDT on May 9, 2025 for the purpose of reviewing the Contract specifications and to answer any questions or clarifications the Bidder may have concerning the Contract requirements. It is the Bidder’s responsibility, while attending in the pre-bid meeting and site visit, to ask any questions necessary to understand the requirements of the Contract so the Bidder can submit a bid that is complete and according to the specifications. It is highly encouraged that all prospective Bidders attend this meeting.
