REQUEST FOR BID

COMMERCIAL REFRIGERATOR & COMMERCIAL FREEZER

Sealed proposals will be received by the Town of Merrimack until 2:00PM on Thursday,

December 4, 2025 to supply and install one Commercial Grade Refrigerator and one

Commercial Grade Freezer for the Function Hall at Wasserman Park for the Town of

Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department, in accordance with the enclosed specifications

and following conditions

Time and effort spent for bid preparation is the responsibility of the bidder. The act of

submitting a bid is considered to be full acknowledgement that the bidder is familiar with

the conditions and sites. Please contact Matt Casparius at (603)882-1046 or

mcasparius@merrimacknh.gov for an appointment to take measurements or if you have

any questions.

The successful bidder will be required to provide an insurance certificate confirming the

following insurance coverage: worker’s compensation insurance as required by the State

of New Hampshire; broad-form comprehensive general liability insurance in an amount no

less than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence; and motor vehicle insurance to

include bodily injury, property damage, uninsured motorist, and employer’s non-

ownership coverage in an amount no less than $1,000,000 combined single limit per

occurrence. The Town of Merrimack shall be named as an additional insured on all

policies.

The successful bidder must also agree in writing to indemnify the Town of Merrimack from

any and all liability, loss or damage, including but not limited to bodily injury, illness,

death, or property damage, which the Town becomes legally obligated to pay as a result of

claims, demands, costs, or judgment against the Town arising out of the contractor’s

actions or omissions relating to this project.

The bids shall be submitted with the Bid Form furnished herewith and shall exclude state

and federal taxes not applicable to municipalities. The bid price shall include delivery and

be quoted F.O.B. Town of Merrimack, 116 Naticook Rd., Merrimack, NH.

A bidder may submit more than on bid. However, each set of proposed machines should

be submitted on one Bid Form. For example, if you want to propose two different brands

of freezers, you may submit two bids on both brands that satisfy our freezer specifications.

The Town is interested in the best combination of cost, durability and functionality.

The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids, and

to accept the bid which best serves the interest of the Town.

Bids must be sealed and marked “Bid for Fridge and Freezer for Parks and Recreation” and

be delivered to the Town of Merrimack Finance Department, 6 Baboosic Lake Rd,

Merrimack, NH 03054 by the date and time specified above.

It is the bidder’s responsibility to confirm the bid is received by the Finance Department

by the date and time specified.

REFRIDEGRATOR AND FREEZER

The new refrigerator and freezer must be greater or equal to True, Traulsen, Everest,

HABCO, Duckers or of similar quality. The bidder will be responsible for interior delivery,

installation, testing operation and making all necessary adjustments.

• Maximum cabinet dimensions

o Depth – Must be able to hold a 27 x 19 sheet tray

• Must have ability to be locked

• Has Castors, but castors should not be pre-installed allow to fit through doorway
