Description: NOTICE TO BIDDERS THE VILLAGE OF BENSENVILLE, DuPAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, will receive sealed bids for the 2025 RESIDENTIAL STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM until Eleven A.M. (11:00 A.M.) (prevailing time), March 4, 2025 at the office of the Municipal Clerk in the Village Hall, 12 South Center Street, in the Village of Bensenville, Illinois, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The contract documents, including plans and specifications, are on file at the office of the Owner, Village of Bensenville – Department of Public Works, 717 East Jefferson Street, Bensenville IL  60106, (630) 350-3411.  Copies of the bid documents may be obtained from the Village of Bensenville website https://www.bensenville.il.us/bids.aspx or email Brad Hargett, Assistant Village Engineer,  at For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. at no charge for each set along with a copy of the Contractor's "Certificate of Eligibility" issued by the Illinois Department of Transportation. A bid bond, certified check, bank draft or irrevocable letter of credit on a solvent bank, payable to the Village of Bensenville, or cash in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract sum as a security for the faithful performance of the Contract and also a Payment Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum as a security for the payment of all persons performing labor on the Project under the Contract and furnishing materials in connection of the Contract.  The successful bidder shall also furnish a Certificate of Insurance.  No bid shall be withdrawn after opening of bids without the consent of said Municipality for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening bids. The Village of Bensenville reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bidding and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to it, all in accordance with the standard specifications.
