Description: Greetings! The City of Half Moon Bay is searching for Design Professionals with Caltrans experience to help us complete the Design and Permitting of our Eastside Parallel Trail, Segment 2 project. About the Project The Segment 2 project will complete a critical gap in the Eastside Parallel Trail through Half Moon Bay and provide connectivity along California Highway 1 between the existing Naomi Patridge Trail at Ruisseau Francais Avenue and the future Highway 1 North Trail at Spindrift Way. Proposed Improvements include: New 12 ft class 1, bicycle/pedestrian trail between Russeau Francais Ave and Spindrift Way. New bicycle/pedestrian bridge over Frenchmans Creek, spanning approximately 200 linear feet. Intersection Improvements at Russeau Francais Avenue to enhance existing crosswalks, add an additional third crossing, and improve grading and drainage. Repair/replace an existing failed wood lagging retaining wall along the south side of the intersection. Bicycle/pedestrian crossing treatments (striping and signage) at Russeau Francais Avenue, Frenchmans Creek Road, and Spindrift Way Please review the attached RFP, included instructions, and critical dates. Questions regarding the RFP and project materials will be accepted through 4:00pm on Friday, January 9 th , 2026. Proposals are due in electronic (PDF) format by 4:00pm on Friday, January 23 rd , 2026, per the instructions included.
