ADDENDUM NO. 1

NOTICE TO BIDDERS:

This Addendum shall be considered part of the Contract Documents for the same above-

mentioned project as though it had been issued at the same time and incorporated

integrally therewith. Where provisions of the following supplementary data differ from

those of the original Contract Documents, this Addendum shall govern and take

precedence.

Acknowledge receipt of the addendum by inserting its number on the Bid Form of the Bid

Documents. Failure to do so will cause the bid response to be rejected.

Bidders are hereby notified that they shall make any necessary adjustments in their

estimates on account of this Addendum. It will be construed that each Bidder's proposal

is submitted with full knowledge of all modifications and supplemental data specified

herein.

AD1.1

A Pre-Bid Conference was held at 10:00 A.M. on January 6, 2026. Attached

are the Meeting Memorandum and Sign-In Sheet numbered AD1-3 through

AD1-5.

AD1.2

Drawings, Sheet No. 2, General Notes. Add the following general notes:

21. Contractor shall coordinate laydown areas with school staff and

provide temporary fencing around all work areas and laydown areas for

school safety.

22. Contractor shall perform pre and post video inspections on the sewer

lines to confirm limits of repair necessary to fix the toilet backup issue

and to confirm that repair work is satisfactory. Contractor shall

provide the pre-construction video to the owner and engineer of record

for review prior to starting repair work. Contractor shall provide post

construction video to the owner and engineer of record for final

approval.

COMMENTS: Pre-Bid Meeting Notes:

• Alec Simonson (Engineer of Record) begins meeting by going over the advertisement and

informing that bids are due January 15, 2026 by 2 pm delivered to the Orleans Parish School

Board per the advertisement.

• Alec also discussed the addendums and the deadline for questions, which is Friday

January 9 at 2 pm. All questions should be sent Alec Simonson (asimonson@meyer-e-

l.com). It is stressed that all questions must be in writing in order to be answered by

addendum.

• Alec described the scope of work of the project including the new backflow preventor

installation & sewer repairs underneath the school building.

• Contractor questions & general discussion included the following:

o OPSB plans for work to be performed during the summer to allow for minimal

disruption to school operations. Ben Franklin does have a summer school program,

but they may be able to use another campus if needed.

o There was a question of the requirement for temporary fencing. The contractor will

be responsible for providing temporary fencing around all work areas for school

safety.

o There was a question about the budget for the project. The engineering estimate for

the work was approximately $430,000.

• All meeting attendees proceeded to walk to the project site to go over the scope of work in

greater detail. Contractors are encouraged to visit the site to thoroughly examine the

existing conditions prior to bidding. Alec requests that any questions to clarify the scope

of repairs be sent in as soon as possible.

• The final addendum will be posted by Monday January 12, 2026 by 2 pm.
