    The City of DuPont invites separate sealed bids for the construction of:
    CENTER DRIVE OVERLAY PHASE 4A
    PALISADE BLVD TO POWERLINE
    ROAD
    TIB Project Number 3-P-137(003)-1
    Sealed bids will be received until 11:00 A.M., local time on Friday, March 27, 2026 when bids will
    be publicly opened and read. The City will not consider bids received after that time and date.
    Sealed bid submittals are to be labeled as City of DuPont Center Drive Overlay 4A, and
    delivered to City of DuPont, City Hall, 1700 Civic Drive, DuPont, WA 98327. Direct questions
    regarding the project to Gus Lim at CityEngineer@dupontwa.gov.
    Project Description: The work to be performed provides for the improvement of Center Drive within the
    City of DuPont by grinding and overlaying the existing asphalt travel lanes and turn lanes between
    Palisade Blvd. and Powerline Road, extended beyond the intersections of Civic Drive and Sequalitchew
    Drive; traffic signal detection loops, push buttons, ADA sidewalk curb ramps, pavement markings and
    other work, all in accordance with the contract plans, contract provisions and the Standard Specifications
    for Road Bridge and Municipal Construction.
    The work described in these Contract Documents shall be Physically Completed within 30 WORKING
    DAYS. The estimated cost for this project is in a range of $850,000 to $1,150,000.
    Bidding Documents: Bid Documents will be available March 6, 2026 .
    Builders Exchange of Washington. All prospective Prime Contract Bidders, Subcontractors, and
    Vendors must register at Builders Exchange of Washington. Should any addenda be issued, only
    those firms registered will receive bidding addenda. Free-of-charge access to project bid documents
    (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to all Prime Contract Bidders,
    Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public
    Works", and "City of DuPont". For information about Builders Exchange, requests for assistance
    navigating their site, or for additional services they may offer including printing of bid documents,
    please call Builders Exchange at (425) 258-1303.
    Bid Bond Required: Each bid or proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of a certified
    check, cashiers check, or a bond payable to the City of Dupont for the sum of not less than five percent
    (5%) of the bid or proposal and none will be considered unless accompanied by such deposit; such
    deposit shall be forfeited to the City in the event the successful bidder fails or refuses to enter into such
    contract for the making and construction of the aforesaid improvement within the time stated in the
    specifications. The City of DuPont expressly reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and the right to
    waive any informalities or irregularities in any bid or in any bidding and to further award the Project to the
    lowest, responsive, responsible bidder whose bid complies with all of the prescribed formalities, as it best
    serves the interest of the City.
    Prevailing Wages: This Contract provides for public work. Workers performing work in conjunction with
    the Contract shall
    receive a State of Washington prevailing rates.
    Equal Employment Requirements : The City of DuPont, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI
    of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby
    notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this
    advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit
    bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color,
    or national origin in consideration for an award.
