Category: Engineering Division Status: Open Description: The Commissioners of Cambridge are inviting qualified contractors to bid on the construction of the Chesapeake Court and Schoolhouse Lane Improvements Project. Work will consist of installation of new water and sewer mains, water and sewer service connections, storm drainage/stormwater management improvements, installation of curb, gutter & sidewalks, lighting, and road construction.
Sealed bids will be received by the Office of the City Engineer, 1025 Washington Street, Cambridge, Maryland 21613 until 4:00 p.m. (EST) on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address..A pre-bid meeting will be held at the City Council Chambers at 305 Gays Street at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2024. The pre-bid meeting is not mandatory but interested contractors are encouraged to attend.
This project is being funded by the Maryland Community Development Block Grant Program and Contractors are required to provide a good faith effort to utilize Dorchester County businesses and to hire lower income persons residing in Dorchester County. Prior to awarding the contract, the chosen bidder will be required to provide documentation of their efforts.
This project is subject to Davis-Bacon wage rates and HUD Section 3 requirements. Section 3 Business Concerns as well as minority and women owned businesses are encouraged to respond.
Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the Owner of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid.
The City of Cambridge reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive informalities or irregularities as it may deem best for its interest.
