The City reserves the right to offer the chosen proposers one or more extensions of the Contract for up to an additional two (2) years and adding additional funding if it comes available under this RFP.
PurposeThis request for proposal (“RFP”) is being solicited by the Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency (CASR) to advance the development of the City’s Green Fleet Maintenance Strategy. Providing quality electric vehicle training, supporting maintenance facility assessments, and providing the workforce with necessary tools ensures the City and County of Denver (CCD) is reducing contributions to local air pollution while upskilling workers in alignment with the Climate Protection Fund (CPF).
The purpose of this RFP is to award a Master Agreement for a total of $1,000,000. Work shall be completed three years from contract execution date (project work to be complete by end of Year 2 with Year 3 reserved for additional services that may arise) with the possibility to add more time and funds as needed to meet the CCD’s objectives. Through this work, the selected vendor will consult with the CASR and CCD Fleet Divisions to fully equip the City Fleet by providing Electric Vehicle (EV) training programs for fleet maintenance technicians ensuring optimal fleet performance, efficient agency operations and a safe working environment.
Required Insurance:The City does not negotiate insurance requirements or contract insurance language and any objections not raised formally in the selection process are waived.
Review the Sample Agreement for the required insurance amounts under paragraph 10 of this RFP, the required insurance coverages are as follows:
- Workers’ Compensation and Employer’s Liability Insurance
- Commercial General Liability
- Business Automobile Liability
