TOWN OF COLONIEThe Department of Public Works, Division of HighwayNotice To BiddersThe Town of Colonie (“Town”) invites bids for the following:ITB - Collection of Leaves and Yard Waste 2026 HWY DB310Sealed bids will be received at the Office of Purchasing, Memorial Town Hall, Latham, NY 12110 untilJanuary 21, 2026 10:00 AM local time. At that time and place all bids will be publicly opened and readaloud.All bidders shall comply with the N.Y. Gen. Mun. Law §103.Beginning on December 31, 2025, the solicitation documents for this matter will be on file and publiclyexhibited at the Office of Purchasing, 534 New Loudon Road, Memorial Town Hall, Latham, NY 12110.Copies of said documents may be obtained at that address. Complete bid documents may also beavailable for download from the Empire State Purchasing Group’s web site athttp://www.bidnetdirect.com/new-york.Bids shall be submitted at the time and place indicated in the Notice to Bidders and shall be enclosed inan opaque, sealed envelope. The opaque envelope shall be marked on the outside with the project titleand name and address of the bidder. The submission shall consist of the completed pages of thisdocument marked “TO BE SUBMITTED” and any other required documents. The submission shall alsoinclude, if required in the Notice to Bidders, the bid security. If the bid is sent through the mail or otherphysical delivery system, the sealed envelope containing the bid shall be enclosed in a separateenvelope with the notation "BID ENCLOSED" on the face thereof AND the outer envelope shall bemarked on the outside with the project title and name and address of the bidder.Each submitted proposal must be accompanied by (a) a certified check in the sum of 5% of the amount ofthe bid, drawn upon a national or state bank or trust company, to the order of the Town of Colonie, NewYork, or (b) a bond with sufficient sureties in a penal sum equal to 5% of the bid, conditioned that if its bidis accepted, successful bidder will enter a contract for the same and that he will execute such furthersecurity as may be required for the performance of the contract.The bidder to whom the contract may be awarded shall within seven days after the date of notification ofthe acceptance of its proposal, provide insurance and security as required by the contract in a formacceptable by the Town of Colonie. In case of its failure to do so, or in case of its failure to give furthersecurity as herein prescribed, the bidder will be considered as having abandoned the same, and thecertified check or other bid security accompanying its proposal shall be forfeited to the Town of Colonie.The Town of Colonie reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids submitted.By Order of the Town of Colonie.Brenda GormanPurchasing and General Services DirectorDated: 12/31/2025
