INVITATION FOR BIDS
Section 00020
1. OVERVIEW AND PROJECT INFORMATION
Following is a summary of information for this Project. Bidder is cautioned to refer to other
sections of the Project Manual, Drawings and Addenda (Bid Documents) for further details.
The City of Lakeway, hereafter called OWNER, is requesting Bids for furnishing all labor,
materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals, and for performing all Work required for
the following:

The work includes park improvements, hardscape, parking lot construction, playground area
preparation, post tension sports court, surfacing, and equipment, field sports equipment
installation, site finishings installation, restroom pad preparation, pavilion pad and footing
preparation, mountain bike park development, ninja course installation, drainage
improvements, and landscaping (planting and irrigation), all as detailed in the plans and
specifications.
The following has been purchased directly by the Owner. Contractor will be responsible for
the installation of: site furnishings (benches, tables, trash receptacles, bike rack, bike repair
station), and sports field equipment.
Equipment and installation of the solar pole lights, playground, ninja course, and pavilion
have been purchased by the Owner directly. Contractor is to prepare these areas by grading
and pavilion concrete pad, and footing preparation.
For the restroom, GC will be responsible for pad prep, utilities, and final tie-in. Reference
Corworth Restrooms “Client’s Scope of Work document.”
Note the site is sensitive to erosion; sedimentation and erosion control is a very important
aspect across the site.
Phase I and Phase II shall be constructed concurrently for the duration of the Project.
Contractor shall keep all construction activities a minimum of 25 feet away from
on all sides of the LPG Tank Site Fence, located on Lot 30. Contractor is forbidden
from using the LPG Tank Site, also known as Lot 30, as a construction site
entrance.
The Contractor shall cooperate and coordinate with the Project Manager in the
event the City elects to retain such services.

Bid Documents are obtained through the City’s website, wwttps://www.lakeway-
tx.gov/bids. A complete set of Bid Documents, including all sections of the Project Manual
and Drawings are included in the attachments section of each solicitation.
All addenda and answers to Bidders’ questions will also be posted in the attachments
section for each solicitation found at www.lakeway-tx.gov/bids.
3. SUBMISSION OF BIDS
Sealed Bids must be submitted to City of Lakeway, Department of Finance, 1102 Lohmans
Crossing Road, Lakeway, TX 78734.
No electronic bids will be accepted.
NOTE: Bids must either be received and time-stamped in the City of Lakeway
Department of Finance prior to the Due Date and Time. It is the responsibility of
the Offeror to ensure that their Bid arrives at the reception desk at City of
Lakeway, City Hall prior to the time and date indicated.
Public Bid Opening Update
The City of Lakeway, Finance Department, will conduct an in-person bid opening. Bidders
must either submit their bids and compliance plans no later than 2:00 PM on March 26,
2026.

6. BID GUARANTY
All Bids shall be accompanied by an acceptable Bid guaranty in an amount of not less than
five percent (5%) of the total Bid, as specified in Section 00100, Instructions to Bidders.
7.
BONDS AND INSURANCE
Performance and payment bonds shall be executed on forms furnished by OWNER. Each
bond shall be issued in an amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount
by a solvent corporate surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, and
shall meet any other requirements established by law or by OWNER pursuant to applicable
law.
