It shall be the responsibility ofinterested Bidders to adhere to any changes or revisions to the IFB as identified in this AddendumNo. 1. This documentation shall become permanent and made part of the departmental files.Attachment A: Pre-Bid AgendaAttachment B: Revised Base Bid FormAttachment C: Special Provisions for Section 533-BQuestion No. 1: Could you please provide a scope of work and the amount of radio, newspaper orother media that will be required for Bid Item 618011 Public Awareness?Answer No. 1: The Bid Item 618011 Public Awareness was deemed not necessary for this level ofeffort needed for the project and has been removed as part of this AddendumQuestion No. 2: Would it be possible to establish an Allowance for the Public Awareness?Answer No. 2: See Answer #1Question No. 3: It appears there are two utility lines (of unknown type) lying exposed in the bottomof the arrow channel. What are we to do with them? Do we need to take utilities into account for thejob?Answer No. 3: Yes, there may be active telephone, fiber optic, and water lines in the area south of theroad, within the road ROW. The contractor should identify all utilities in the vicinity of the CBCapron and erosion protection structures. The contractor will have to coordinate with any utilitieshaving conflicts to get those lines adjusted or relocated prior to construction. If utility conflicts areencountered that impact the schedule, the Contractor shall promptly notify the County. Requests for102 Grant Avenue · P.O. Ifso, can you specify the strength of concrete desired?Answer No. 4:Note 5 on sheet 5-1 of the Contract Plans refers to Section 533 of the NMDOT Specs. 533.2.1 of theSpecs addresses the material to be used based on the repair depth. Section 533 is to be followed forpatching and concrete repair.Question No. 5: It appears there is a possible access route to the bottom of the arroyo from Highway285 adjacent to the worksite. Is this an acceptable access point to the job site?Answer No. 5: Access to the site has previously been granted to the county by the adjacent shoppingcenter through a temporary work permit. Any access to the site will require the contractor tocommunicate with the adjacent landowners and obtain necessary permits and approvals.Question No. 6: From where will we source water for this project?Answer No. 6: The water source for the project is the contractor’s responsibility. The contractor cancontact the county’s utilities division to assist with setting up and account and locating county watersources if desired.Question No. 7: Do we need a full time Traffic Control Supervisor for this job? Or can our generalsupervisor for the job conduct TCS operations?Answer No. 7: Due to minimal disruption and short project duration, it is allowable for thecontractor’s supervisor to control TCS operations if the supervisor has the proper TCS certifications.Question No. 8: Our anode supplier needs to know if the XP2 or XP4 anodes are required for thisproject. Which anode is needed is not stated in the plans or Standard Specifications or StandardDrawings.Answer No. 8:The Contractor shall furnish pre-manufactured galvanic anodes designed for cathodic protectionwhen embedded in concrete and tied to steel reinforcing. The core of the anode shall consist of aminimum of 100 grams (3.5 oz) of electrolytic high grade zinc in compliance with ASTM B 418 TypeII cast around a pair of steel tie wires and encased in a highly alkaline cementitious shell with a pHof 14, or encased in a Material that uses activation methods to assure performance. The anodes shallhave one side that is less than 1-1/2” in height.Question No. 9: On Sheet 5-1, Scope of Work Note Number 3, there is a reference to a SpecialProvision 533-B, Embedded Galvanic Anodes.Could you provide us with a copy of that Special Provision and does that Special Provision clarifywhich size anode is required on this project?102 Grant Avenue · P.O. All other unaffected sections will have their originalinterpretation and remain in full force and effect.
