The Engineer’s Estimate for the project base is Four Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($425,000).
The Contractor shall possess a Class A and/or Class C-12 California contractor’s license.

This contract is subject to the Statecontract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government CodeSection 12990.Bid Package & Bid Package Location: All of the project work is to be done in accordancewith the bid package on file with the Public Works Department - City of Union City, 34009Alvarado-Niles Road, Union City, California 94587. Eligibility to bid on this project requiresbid package to be electronically obtained from the City. Bid package may be obtained atno charge via email request to the City at publicworks@unioncity.org. Non-biddable plansand specifications shall be available to view at various Builders’ Exchanges throughoutthe Bay Area and on the City of Union City website at www.unioncity.orgGeneral Work Description: The project consists of rehabilitating parking lot pavementsurface, base, and subbase in addition to the site drainage & its associated facilities,including installation of a new bioswale area. ADA improvements will be installed alongwith irrigation for new vegetation and trees. The parking lot perimeter will be brought upto standard and entire project is subject to the most current Caltrans StandardSpecifications, and these special provisions.All questions should be emailed to Trieu Tran by e-mail at TrieuT@unioncityca.gov atleast five (5) working days prior to the time specified for the bid opening. Whereappropriate, the City may respond to such questions through procedures outlined in theInstructions to Bidders.Minimum wage rates for this project as predetermined by the Secretary of Labor are setforth in the special provisions. If there is a difference between the minimum wage ratespredetermined by the Secretary of Labor and prevailing wage rates determined by theDepartment of Industrial Relations for similar labor classifications, the contractor and hissubcontractors shall pay not less than the higher wage rates.Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing rate of wagesin the county in which the work is to be done has been determined by the Director of theDepartment of Industrial Relations, State of California. These wages are set forth in theGeneral Prevailing Wage Rates for this project, available from the California Departmentof Industrial Relations’ web site at https://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse. Future effectiveprevailing wage rates which have been predetermined and are on file with the CaliforniaDepartment of Industrial Relations, are referenced but not printed in the general prevailingwage rates.
