Office on Aging Request for Proposals for Aging Services 2026-2027

The Mercer County Department of Human Services, Office on Aging, is accepting proposals for the period of January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027, with an option to extend for one additional year, to provide Older Americans Act, Supplemental Aging Supportive Services, State of New Jersey, and County Direct Funding in the amount of $765,994.00.

Funding will be made available in the following service categories:

• Legal Assistance and Education
• Senior Mental Health Counseling and Education
• Caregiver Support Groups and Caregiver Mental Health Education
• Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Education
• Socialization, Recreation, and Community Education Services
• Volunteer Assisted Transportation, Social Visiting and Housekeeping
• Respite Care
• Care Management
• In-Home Health Care
• Telephone Reassurance
• Countywide Weekday Home Delivered Meals
• Nutrition Counseling and Education
• Kosher Nutrition Services
• State Weekend Home Delivered Meals

This funding is to provide services and programs, free of charge, for Mercer County older adults age 60 or older and their family caregivers. Priorities of this office will ensure that services assist low-income minority individuals, older individuals with limited English proficiency, and older individuals residing in rural areas within the planning and service area.
