ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES AND SHELTERING

The Township of Maplewood is interested in entering into a contract with a qualified vendor who is able to provide Animal Control Services and Sheltering for the Township of Maplewood. The successful respondent shall provide a licensed animal control officer available 24/7, 365 days a year who shall canvass the municipality picking up and confining dogs and cats running at large as required by law under N.J.S.A. 4:19-15.16. The shelters will meet or exceed the standards set forth in N.J.A.C. 8:23A. Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked “RFP – ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES AND SHELTERING” and bear the name and address of the proposer on the outside of the envelope to Elizabeth J. Fritzen, Township Clerk, at the Township of Maplewood’s Clerk’s Office located at 574 Valley Street Maplewood, NJ 07040 no later than 2:30 P.M. on Thursday April 24, 2025 at which time all proposals will be opened. One original and one copy of the proposal will be required. In addition, one electronic copy of the proposal shall be submitted on a USB drive.

All Service Contractors are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. Affirmative Action, P.L. 1975 c. 127, N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq. (Contract Compliance and Equal Employment Opportunities in Public Contracts), and N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 (Disclosure of Ownership).
