ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

HCEC-TV / TECHNOLOGY

ASPHALT PAVEMENT RESURFACING PROJECT

209 CORPORATE DRIVE, ELIZABETHTOWN, KY. 42701

Notice is hereby given that Hardin County Board of Education will receive sealed bids for HCEC-

TV / Technology Asphalt Pavement Resurfacing Project at the board office at 65 W. A. Jenkins

Road; Elizabethtown, Kentucky 42701 until 11:00 am local time on Thursday 23 April 2026 at

which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

This project generally consists of but is not limited to the installation new asphalt surface area, cold

milling existing asphalt surfaces, overlaying existing asphalt surfaces, installation of concrete

pavement, and miscellaneous repairs. Construction must be complete and parking lots useable by

26 June 2026.

Bidding documents may be examined at Engineering Design Group, Inc. located at 315 South

Mulberry Street, Elizabethtown, Kentucky 42701. Contact Mike Billings with Engineering Design

Group, Inc. (270) 769-1436 to schedule an appointment for document review.

A certified check, made payable to Hardin County Schools, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by

the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be

submitted with each bid.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for Satisfactory Performance and Labor

and Materials Payment Bonds. The Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds shall be

executed by Surety Company possessing an A.M. Best Company rating of A – or better and which

holds a certificate of Authority issued by the Department of Treasury and shall be listed as an

acceptable surety in the Circular; published annually as of July 1 and licensed in the State of

Kentucky.

Contract drawings, Specifications and Bid Forms may be obtained from Engineering Design Group,

Inc. at the address listed above. Contract Documents will be available on Monday 13 April 2026.

Construction Drawings, Specifications and Bid Form will be supplied via email in pdf format.

There will not be a Pre-Bid meeting. Contractor’s questions will be answered by Engineering

Design Group, Inc, (Michael P. Billings, PE, PLS). Questions will not be accepted after 11:00 am

local time on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids

received after scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned unopened to bidders. Any bid

which is not submitted in the proper form will not be considered. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of

forty-five days subsequent to opening of bids.
