I-90, Hansen Rd Overpass Emergency Bridge Replacement

Contract summary

Constructing a two-lane overpass including substructure, girder placement and superstructure; install bridge approach slabs, guardrail and guardrail transitions, bridge sign brackets and bridge signs, storm sewer pipe, catch basins, bridge railing; placing embankment and crushed surfacing base course; and paving with hot mix asphalt (HMA). At the existing Hiawatha Interchange (Bridge 90/214) overpass work includes installing a permanent debris catchment system and preforming select deck repair. Work will also include removal of the existing crossovers used for temporary traffic control, restoring delineation and safety features, temporary traffic control, and other work. Involves 68 items and 100 working days. Work class 6, bridges and structures.
