Immediately following expiration of the time for receiving bids, representatives of the City of St. Michael will publicly view Bids at an online Bid opening meeting. Project DescriptionProject Category Code: Grubbing & Clearing, Erosion Control/Slope, Bank Stabilization, Culverts, Waterways, Stormwater Channels, Excavation, Watershed Protection/Riprap Description: The Project includes the furnishing of all labor and materials for the construction complete in-place, of the following approximate quantities:
- 2,500 C Y Excavation – Channel and Pond
- 1,800 C Y Common Borrow Special (CV)
- 90 L F 30” RC Pipe Storm Sewer
- 1,500 C Y Random Riprap Class II-IV
- 320 S Y Reinforced Soil Slope
- 570 L F Toewood Bench
Additional Description: The provisions of MINN. STAT. 16C.285 Responsible Contractor are imposed as a requirement of this contract. All bidders and persons or companies providing a response/submission to the Advertisement for Bids of the City of St. Michael shall comply with the provisions of the statute.
The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any Bids received without explanation. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days.
For all further requirements regarding Bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
Minimum wage rates to be paid by the Contractors have been predetermined and are subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962, P.L. 87-581 and implementing regulations.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation hereby notifies all bidders:
in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Act), as amended and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Subtitle A Part 21, Non-discrimination in Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation, it will affirmatively assure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded maximum opportunity to participate and/or to submit bids in response to this invitation, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, disability, age, sex or national origin in consideration for an award;
