NOTICE: The City of San Bruno (the “City”) will receive sealed bids on the proposalforms furnished by the City and in accordance with the plans and specifications on orbefore Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM PST by the Office of the CityClerk, located at 567 El Camino Real, San Bruno, California 94066, for the followingpublic work:2. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:The work includes, but is not limited to:• Removing existing manhole• Installing drilled piers• Installing concrete base slab• Tie concrete base slab to existing soldier piles• Installing new precast concrete manholeAll work items shall be constructed in accordance with the contract plans andspecifications. Bidding Documents contain the full description of the Work.3. STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS: Each Bidder shall be required to submit, inaccordance with Document 00 21 00 (Instructions to Bidders) and Document 00 45 13(Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for Construction Work), a Statement ofQualifications.4. CONTRACT TIME: All work under this contract shall be completed within 30 WorkingDays from the Notice to Proceed effective date. The City shall assess liquidateddamages in the amount of $500 per Working Days for delays in completion of theproject, as provided in the Contract Documents.5. REQUIRED CONTRACTOR’S LICENSE(S): A California Class “A” contractor’slicense is required to bid on this contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venturelicense prior to award of this Contract.6. (MANDATORY) PRE-BID CONFERENCE: The City will conduct a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM PDT at the projectlocation. INSTRUCTIONS: Bidders shall refer to Document 00 21 00 (Instructions to Bidders) forrequired documents and items to be submitted in sealed envelopes for deposit at theOffice of the City Clerk, 567 El Camino Real, San Bruno, California 94066, no later thanthe time and date set forth in Paragraph 1 above.9. BID SECURITY: Cash, cashier’s check or certified check, payable to the order of theCity of San Bruno, of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, or a bond in saidamount payable to the City of San Bruno and signed by the Bidder and a corporatesurety shall accompany the bid.10. BID PREPARATION COST: Bidders are solely responsible for the cost of preparingtheir bids.11. SUBSTITUTION OF SECURITIES: The City will permit the successful bidder tosubstitute securities for any retention monies withheld to ensure performance of thecontract, as set forth in Document 00 61 16 (Escrow Agreement For Security Deposits InLieu Of Retention) and fully incorporated herein, in accordance with Section 22300 ofthe California Public Contract Code.12. PREVAILING WAGE LAWS: The successful bidder must comply with all prevailingwage laws applicable to the project, and related requirements contained in the contractdocuments.a. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a publicworks project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with theDepartment of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [withlimited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under LaborCode section 1771.1(a)].b. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on apublic works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered withthe Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.c. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by theDepartment of Industrial Relations.13. SUBSTITUTIONS: Bidders must base their bids on products and systems specified inthe contract documents or listed by name in the addenda.
