Bidders are invited to be present at the opening of bids.City of Minot SpecificationsIndustrial Wheel LoaderStreet & Water DepartmentThe unit described under these specifications shall be the manufacturer's latest industrial wheel loader andmeet the following minimum specifications. Any deviations from the following minimum specificationsmust be noted and may be accepted if approved by the Fleet Manager. Bidder shall provide brochureshowing the following minimum specifications. Any deviations from the specifications shall be clearlyexplained and attached to the bid proposal.Engine:Diesel, minimum net 220 hp, 6 cylinder. With engine air pre cleanerand block heaterOperating Weight:Minimum operating weight of 41,000 pounds exclusive of tire ballast and withall required specifications listed below.TransmissionMinimum of four (4) forward and three (3) reverse speeds. With differential lock.Steering:hydrostatic type articulated steeringDrive Train:Torque converter automatic type drive. Rear oscillating axle, front may be fixedor oscillating type. Front and Rear differential locking capability.Brake:Service brakes shall be wet disk type, sealed and fully enclosed to allowoperation in water, mud, snow, or other adverse conditions without encounteringbrake fade.Parking/secondary brake shall be equipped with a warning and/or buzzer.Tires:Size to be 23.5R25 Snow Rated (radial type)Loader:Self leveling, with a heavy-duty material bucket rated at a minimum volumecapacity of 4.25 cubic yards and a minimum width of the loader.Bolt on type cutting edges mounted on bucket.Minimum dump height of 160”.Bucket breakout force of 31,000lbsBalderson quick coupler type system for bucket attachment. Bidder shallbe responsible for verifying size and type of quick couplerHydraulic System:System shall have sufficient flow to operate bucket and attachments.Third hydraulic for operation of auxiliary attachment with quick-tach forhydraulic lines. Artic hydraulic oil.Cooling System:Pressurized liquid cooling system with thermostat. Radiator shall befilled with manufacturer's approved anti-freeze solution that providesadequate protection to -35 degrees F. Hydraulic reversing fan.2Instrumentation:Unit shall have gauges that include: tachometer, transmission temperature, enginecoolant temperature, engine oil pressure, voltmeter, parking brake engagement,hydraulic filter restriction, air cleaner restriction, electric hour meter.Engine coolant and oil pressure shall have both audible and visualwarnings.Remote location and monitoring included at no cost.Operator’s Station:Cab shall be SAE ROPS/FOPS certified. Fully enclosed cab shall beisolation mounted and shall include a retractable seat belt, minimum35,000 BTU heater/defroster, front and rear windshield wipers, latchedWindows, AM-FM Radio, ride control and a single lockable door. Outsiderearview mirrors. Air-Conditioning.Must also include a lighting package of four front and four rear LEDwork lights, two front and rear turn and flashing lights, two stop lights, twotail lights and dome light. Top Becon - Whelen 360 LED strobe light(mounted per City instructions). The operator’s seat shall be an airsuspension fabric seat, fire extinguisher and rear backup camara.Miscellaneous:Unit shall be equipped with all standard equipment, as well as fenders and shallinclude: key or other ignition switch with safety start, foot throttle, horn, blockheater or cold start system, lockable engine service doors, reverse warningaudible alarm, one (1)SMV emblem, engine fuel filter (primary to be water traptype), safety hand holds, heavy duty dual batteries with a minimum of 1400 CCAtotal and minimum 80 amp alternator and master disconnect switch.Manuals:Operator, maintenance, parts and troubleshooting manuals shall be providedeither on CD – Rom, internet based or paper form. Cables or software fordiagnostics and hookups to a computer shall be provided.Service:The continuous operation of the machine is important and sometimes anemergency in nature, it is necessary that the successful bidder maintain and/orhave access to a parts inventory. The parts inventory shall be sufficient in sizeand variety to offer a level of parts availability of normal wear out items within48 hours from time of order.Warranty:Manufacturer's standard five (5) year, 4000-hour full machine warranty.No deductible with a Loaner unit at no chargeBID PROPOSAL3INDUSTRIAL WHEEL LOADERThe City of Minot is a municipal government and is tax exempt.
