Description: The City of Morro Bay (“City”) seeks qualified consulting firms and/or persons to update the City’s Waterfront Master Plan (WMP) . The WMP has not been updated since it was first adopted in 1996. The WMP, which is part of the City’s Local Coastal Program (LCP), is a land use policy document, a conceptual development plan, and implementation document. The WMP sets a vision for future development, land use, circulation, and infrastructure for Morro Bay’s waterfront area. The current WMP includes background information and existing conditions, conceptual plans for each of the four planning areas, and a roadmap of future actions to achieve the WMP vision. The WMP also includes a design guidelines chapter, which contains both design guidelines and standards for waterfront development. All proposals must be received before 5:00 p.m. PDT on March 21, 2025*.
