2027 MODEL YEAR

EXPEDITION MAX XL SSV 4X4 DARK MATTER GRAY METALLIC

DESCRIPTION:

The City is requesting a firm price quotation for (1) 2027 Ford Expedition Max XL SSV 4X4 Dark

Matter Gray Metallic vehicle with the following specifications:

(K1G) (102A) FORD EXPEDITION MAX XL SSV 4X4

(HY) DARK MATTER GRAY METALLIC

(153) LICENSE PLATE BRACKET

(425) 50 STATE EMISSIONS

1.0 SCOPE

This specification describes a police utility vehicle intended for daily police use in the

enforcement of City, State, and Federal laws. Components shall be heavy-duty and selected to

maximize performance, service life, and safety under demanding operating conditions.

2.0 APPLICABLE SPECIFICATIONS:

All vehicles must comply with current applicable Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)

specifications and federal regulations for civilian passenger vehicles.

3.0 EXCEPTIONS or DEVIATIONS:

No exceptions to or deviations from these specifications will be considered unless specifically

noted and justified in the bidder’s proposal.

4.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Vehicles shall be new, current model year production 2027 Ford Expedition Max XL SSV 4X4

Dark Matter Gray Metallic and include all standard and specified equipment as described.

6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISION:

Any inspection at the manufacturer’s facility requested by Foster City will be at the

manufacturer’s expense.

7.0 WARRANTIES:

• 3 yr / 36,000 mi bumper-to-bumper warranty including towing

• 5 yr / 60,000 mi Powertrain Warranty

• 5 yr / 60,000 mi Roadside Assistance

• 6 yr / 100,000 mi corrosion protection

• 2 yr / 24,000 mi California Emissions Performance

• 5 yr / 50,000 mi California Emissions Defect

• 5 yr / 50,000 mi Safety Restraint

• 3 yr / 50,000 mi Battery (pro-rata after 12 months)

8.0 GUARANTEE:

Manufacturer guarantees that delivered vehicles will meet or exceed all specifications or they

must remedy at their cost.

9.0 DELIVERY:

Delivery will be made to: City of Foster City, Fleet Division, 100 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City,

CA 94404. Vehicles must be fully inspected, serviced, and include all documentation. Minimum

fuel level at delivery: 1/4 tank.

10.0 TECHNICAL INFORMATION:

One (1) Service Manual and one (1) Electrical Wiring Diagram Manual shall be provided at

delivery.

11.0 REPAIR PARTS:

Dealer must ensure timely availability of repair parts. Non-stocked parts must be shipped by air

at the dealer’s expense if not available within 2 business days.

12.0 DEALER NETWORK:

Authorized service facilities must be located within 35 miles of Foster City. A list of certified

service providers will be required from the successful bidder.
