Description:

The Bristol Public Schools, Bristol, Connecticut is requesting Proposals to provide transportation services for certain school children residing in Bristol, Connecticut that are subject to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.

Proposals to provide such transportation services will be received in the office of the Purchasing Agent for the City of Bristol on behalf of the Bristol Board of Education.

Proposals are due no later than 11:00 am on January 30, 2025. Interested firms are required to submit one original copy via digital media of the proposal to Roger Rousseau, Purchasing Agent, no later than the date and time noted above. Submissions may be made via email, shared file service, or USB drive delivered to the address noted below; the City does not assume responsibility for failure of submissions to be received by the City by the date and time noted above. Any proposal received after said date and time, whether hand-delivered, submitted via United States Postal Service, or submitted via any other delivery service, shall be declared invalid.

Proposals shall be all inclusive, including all vehicles, equipment, personnel, clerical services and other resources necessary to meet the transportation needs of the Board of Education.

The City of Bristol reserves the right to reject any, or any part of, or all proposals; to waive informalities and technicalities; and to accept that proposal which the City of Bristol and the Bristol Board of Education deem to be in the best interest of the City and the Board, whether or not it is the lowest dollar-cost proposal.

Any selected firm will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated fairly during employment, without regard to their race, color, religion, gender, or national origin.
