AIRFIELD VAULT GENERATOR
Notice is hereby given that Taylor County will receive sealed bids at the Taylor County Board of County
Commissioners, Attn: Clerk’s Office, 108 North Jefferson Street, Perry, Florida 32347 (850-838-3506) until
4 pm local time on Friday, December 12, 2024 , for the Airfield Vault Generator project at the Perry
Foley Airport, Perry, Fl. Bids must be submitted in a sealed enveloped clearly marked “BID ENCLOSED:
AIRFIELD VAULT GENERATOR PERRY FOLEY AIRPORT.”
Bids will be opened at the Taylor County Board of County Commissioners meeting to be held at the Taylor County Administration Complex, 201 East Green Street, Perry, Florida on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 6:05 pm or as soon thereafter as possible. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The project consists of providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following:
Furnish and install a complete 80KW natural gas generator with concrete pad and weather enclosure. Work includes extending a natural gas line from the existing connection on Industrial Park Drive to the new generator location. The contract time for substantial completion of the Base Bid work shall be 90 calendar days from the date of the “Notice to Proceed (NTP).” The final project completion shall be 120 calendar days from the date of the “Notice to Proceed (NTP)”. Additional days will be awarded if additional alternates are awarded.
Beginning on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 , drawings, specifications, and project documents may be
examined by appointment at the Airport Terminal Building of the Perry Foley Airport at 481 Industrial Park Drive, Perry, Florida 32348. Appointments may be made by calling Ward Ketring at Perry Foley Airport at 850-838-3519. Beginning on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 , digital copies of the above documents may
be obtained from the offices of AVCON, INC., 320 Bayshore Drive, Suite A, Niceville, Florida, 32578, (850)

Quote security shall be made payable to Taylor County. Thesuccessful contractor must be able to furnish proof of required insurance, a 100% Performance Bond, and a100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond, and shall begin execution of this contract within five (5) calendardays following the date of the Notice to Proceed.Funding for this project is being provided by the Florida Department of Transportation and will be subject toall applicable requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation grant assurances.The successful contractor will be required to comply with all provisions of the Federal Government EqualEmployment Opportunity clauses issued by the Secretary of Labor on May 21, 1968 and published in theFederal Register (41CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804). Questions relating to the Project Documents will be answered at that time. Attendance byprospective prime contractors is strongly recommended.The Taylor County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right, it its sole and absolute discretion, toreject, to cancel, or withdraw this bid at any time and waive any irregularities in the bid process. The Countyreserves the right to award any contract to the respondent which it deems to offer the best overall service;therefore, the County is not bound to award any contract based on the lowest quoted price. The County, in itssole and absolute discretion, also reserves the right to waive any minor defects in the process and to accept thebid deemed to be in the County’s best interest.
