Bid Title: Overlake Area Bicycle/Pedestrian Improvements
Category: Bidding & Contracting Opportunities Status: Open Description: The City of Redmond is soliciting interest from consulting firms under this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for design services for the construction of the Overlake Area Bicycle/Pedestrian Improvements project. The successful consultant/team will prepare design report, permits, plans, specifications, and estimates.
This project will consist of two connected multimodal facilities in the Overlake area. The first is a shared use path on the east side of 148th Ave from approximately NE 31st St to NE 40th St. This portion of the project will continue in a manner similar to the existing frontage improvements constructed at 3040 148th Ave NE, with a landscape strip and paved or concrete path behind the existing curb line.
The second is a high-comfort bicycle facility on NE 36th St from 148th Ave to the SR 520 Trail. This will be a retrofit of the existing roadway and may be constructed by modifying the space between existing curbs.
