Baled Straw Straw must be clean, bright straw, and free from foreign matter, excessive seed heads, weeds, and dust and mold. Bales should be 4-60 lbs. in total weight and be either two or three string tied. Moldy or unsatisfactory bales will be returned to the vendor and not included in the total delivery count or final weight. All deliveries are subject to inspect and acceptance. All deliveries shall be F.O.B. destination. Some deliveries might require additional labor and/or equipment (i.e. loaders, spreaders, etc...) for the unloading and placement of products at no additional expense to the Commonwealth; specifically bulk deliveries. Vendor should be prepared to include a weight ticket showing the final loaded weight for each delivery. Deliveries must be made to specific barns located on the premises and may include stacking in a loft setting. Deliveries may be scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm local time (excluding and state holidays) and must be coordinated in advance with the receiving location to ensure availability of the personnel for receiving. All deliveries should be completed and received by the receiving entity within seven (7) days from the date of order to the vendor. Vendor will be responsible to provide all labor and equipment necessary to unload delivery into appropriate hay loft. All straw deliveries are delivered to the Hall of Champions barn and will require the use of a hay elevator to access the loft. A semi-truck will not fit into the access of the Hall of Champions. Vendor will provide labor to unload and stack baled hay in an organized fashion at the direction of the receiving location. Vendor is welcome to coordinate a visit with the receiving location in advance to determine best and most efficient delivery options.
