SummaryThe City of South San Francisco is seeking qualified contractors to provide as-needed public works construction services in the areas of Signals/Street Lights, Concrete/Paving, and Signs/Markings. The City intends to establish three separate benches, each consisting of up to three (3) contractors per category, to support a variety of small-scale maintenance and improvement projects throughout the City.
Work will be issued through individual task orders on an as-needed basis and will typically involve minor construction, repair, and maintenance within the public right-of-way. Projects may require timely or urgent response to address operational and safety needs.
Compensation for all work performed under these contracts will be based on the Caltrans Equipment Rental Rates and Labor Surcharge (using the most current published rates) plus a fixed contractor markup as specified in the General Conditions (15% for Labor, 15% for Materials, 10% for Equipment, and 5% for subcontractor-performed work), with provisions for negotiated pricing for work not covered by standard rates. The City is seeking experienced, responsive contractors capable of delivering high-quality work under this on-call, task order-based structure.
