Answers bythe Town of Christiansburg are in red.1. Is your team able to provide copies of the most recent inspection reports on your (5) elevatorsfor the Town of Christiansburg? Not at this time. Once the reports become available, wewill issue them in another addendum to be posted no later than Monday, June 22, 2026 by5:00 p.m.2. The Minimum Insurance schedule (Section C) lists Professional Liability at $2,000,000aggregate and $1,000,000 per occurrence. For a preventive and routine elevator maintenancescope, please confirm whether Professional Liability coverage is required for this contract,and if so, whether it must be carried by the prime contractor, by the subcontractor performingthe maintenance, or by both. Yes, Professional Liability coverage is required and it isrequired for both the prime and the subcontractor if this work is subcontracted.3. We would also appreciate confirmation that the Town will accept an additional insuredendorsement naming the Town of Christiansburg, its officers, agents, and employees on aprimary and non-contributory basis, as described in the IFB. Yes.4. The IFB asks for pricing on category 5 testing, but the equipment schedule does not list anytraction elevators. Confirming you want pricing for category 5 testing? Yes, we would likethe pricing for Category 5 testing for all 5 elevators. CAT5 testing on the drum elevator atthe Fire Department is required in Virginia.5. Can you provide the dates of the last Cat 5 testing please? The last CAT5 test was performedin 2023.6. In the pricing breakdown, there is a column for “service date per month,” are you looking forthe date that maintenance would be performed per month? Yes.7. Are you able to share your annual spend on elevators? And who is your current maintenanceprovider? Schindler Elevator Corporation is currently contracted to provide the monthlypreventative elevator maintenance. Their 5-year agreement expires on June 30, 2026. ForFiscal Year 2026, our current annual spend for monthly preventative maintenance was$8,700 for the base fee and an additional $3,828.81 in repair costs paid to Schindler ElevatorCorporation.
