The awarded Contractor will lease the City's property at 31751 Walt Bassett Avenue in Pueblo to operate their non-FBO (fixed-base operator) business.
Background- The City's Pueblo Memorial Airport (Airport - PUB) is a public use Part 139 Certified and General Aviation airport conveniently located 6 miles East of Pueblo, in Pueblo County, Colorado. The Airport is located 40 miles from Colorado Springs Airport (COS) and 110 miles from Denver International Airport (DEN). The Airport is owned and operated by the City of Pueblo and is used by a combination of corporate, general aviation, military and commercial aircraft.
- The Airport has an FAA-owned Air Traffic Control Tower staffed daily 0600-2200, ILS, localizer and RNAV approaches.
- The Airport is considered a primary commercial service, non-hub airport within the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NAPIAS). The Airport is classified as a Commercial Service Airport by the State of Colorado Aeronautic Board.
- The Airport has three runways: a 10,000 ft long by 150 ft wide primary runway (8R-26L), a parallel runway (8L-26R) 4,000 ft long by 75 ft wide, and a crosswind runway (17-35) 8,000 ft long and 150 ft wide. More information can be found at https://www.airnav.com/airport/KPUB .
- The Airport is available 24 hours a day via gated access through a secure perimeter fence. The Airport is staffed by City employees 6:00am to 8:00pm daily, at minimum.
