Scope of Services
The purpose and intent of this bid is to contract with a Temporary Labor Service that can provide temporary labor food service substitutes for school cafeterias on an as-needed basis, complying with all terms and conditions as outlined in the attached bid documents. Bidders responding to this competitive opportunity must demonstrate that they have the resources and capability to provide sufficient and adequate temporary food service substitutes for the School Board of Marion County school cafeterias. The awarded Temporary Labor firm must be able to: 1. Cover immediate needs for food service substitutes in school cafeterias within the Marion County School District. 2. Be in a position to provide temporary food service substitutes within the anticipated start time as required by the Food and Nutrition Department. In most cases the anticipated start time is within one (1) to two (2) hours of receiving the call. 3. Provide temporary food service substitutes with the ability to meet or exceed all aspects of food service school cafeteria work, including punctuality and attendance. 4. Handle all personnel issues and client concerns. 5. Have a demonstrable understanding of the local demographic for the successful delivery of food service substitutes. 6. The District’s Food and Nutrition designee will provide shift needs (dates, times, locations) via email or phone. The Vendor is entirely responsible for filling the shifts, modifying schedules in their own systems, and compiling verified weekly hours into a record. 7. The awarded Vendor shall be fully responsible for all administrative tasks associated with the scheduling, time tracking, and verification of temporary personnel. If the vendor utilizes an online platform, application, or digital dashboard for scheduling or timekeeping, the sole responsibility for data entry, schedule management, modifications, and weekly timesheet verification shall rest entirely with the Vendor. The District’s Food and Nutrition Department staff shall not be required to log into, manage, modify, or verify hours within a proprietary Vendor platform; it is the Vendor`s responsibility to take the District-approved timesheets and manually input or reconcile that data into their own proprietary systems. Please review the attachments “Bid 4179AM Temporary Labor for Food Service Substitutes TERMS AND CONDITIONS” and “Bid 4179AM Temporary Labor for Food Service Substitutes REQUIRED FORMS” in their entirety for full scope of services and specifications of this bid.
