Nuisance Mowing and Debris Cleanup4/16/26City of Gallatin1.0 IntroductionThe City of Gallatin is seeking bids for mowing and cleaning up of nuisanceproperties for the Public Works Department. Bids will be due on Friday, May 1,2026, at 1:00 PM, in a sealed envelope clearly marked: BID: NUISANCEMOWING AND DEBRIS CLEANUP1.1 Scope of WorkMowing and cleanup of nuisance properties in Gallatin.Mowing includes use of bush hog, zero-turn mower, push mower, chain saw orweed eater depending on conditions of properties to be brought back into codescompliance.Cleanup could include disposal of large and small items. Recyclable items shallbe sorted out and taken to the Gallatin Recycle Drop-off (641 Long Hollow Pike,Gallatin, TN). Other debris shall be taken to the Sumner County ResourceAuthority (625 Rappahannock Wire Rd., Gallatin, TN).2.0 Technical RequirementsMowing Grass shall be cut to a minimum height of 3.5 inches Grass, bushes, and vegetation shall be mowed and trimmed to bringproperty into Codes compliance. Any remnants of cutting grass or debris shall be blown out of the roadwayand/or drainage way and disposed of properly.Cleanup Garbage, refuse, and debris shall be cleaned up and disposed of to bringproperty into Codes compliance. Debris shall be transported in a manner that is safe and secure andprevents any loose debris from escaping the vehicle/trailer. Disposal fees will be reimbursed by the City in addition to labor costs.Disposal fees for each property shall be kept separate. Cleanup does not include large items that will not fit or weigh too muchfor a standard pickup truck and 18’ trailer.Page 1 of 113.0 Contractor Requirements3.1 Contractor shall perform work within 5 days of reception of work order.3.2 Contractor shall provide pictures of property before performing work andafter performing work.3.3 Pricing is good for 1 year, with contract extension up to 3 years.4.0 Evaluation of ProposalsThe City of Gallatin will award the contract to lowest responsible and responsivebidder meeting specifications, quality, and performance standards pursuant to theMunicipal Purchasing Act of 1983. Response will be based on the followingfactors: Completeness of response Cost Vendor track record, including references Quality of service Quality of product5.0 Contract AwardThe City of Gallatin reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waiveany informality found therein. City has complied with all purchasing policies and ordinances in procuring theservices described hereunder.WHEREAS, Consultant is a professional, skilled in the services described hereunder, andis available and willing to perform the services, as more fully described in this Agreementand attached exhibits.NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed between the parties as follows:Section 1.Description of Services. Consultant shall provide the professional services as more fullyoutlined in the attached Exhibit A (the “Services”). In the event a conflict exists betweenthis Agreement and any term in Exhibit A, the terms in this Agreement shall supersedeExhibit A.Section 2.Performance of Services. In exchange for the services performed hereunder, City shall payConsultant amounts specified in the attached Exhibit A, but in no event shall amounts duehereunder exceed $________ in any 12-month period.Section 4.Term/Termination. The term of this Agreement shall begin upon execution of thisAgreement by the City. This Agreement may be terminated by either party upon seven (7)days written notice in the event of failure to perform in accordance with the terms of thisAgreement.In the event of termination for fault, the Consultant shall be compensated for all Servicessatisfactorily performed and accepted by the City and costs incurred up to the effectivedate of termination for which Consultant has not been previously compensated.Page 5 of 11
